Gold cone - focus on energy
The seal sets the highest standards for energy efficiency and recognises special measures such as solar systems and consideration for biodiversity.
Holiday homes with the Gold cone - focus on energy fulfil the strictest criteria in terms of insulation, energy labelling of household appliances and at least four additional measures - such as solar panels, electric car charging facilities or biodiversity on the property.
The holiday homes are energy-optimised in terms of:
Insulation of exterior walls, floor and roof
Quality of window and door glazing
Heating source such as a heat pump or district heating that can heat 100% of the house
LED lighting with a share of at least 90%
Optimisation of household appliances:
Energy efficiency class for boiler, refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, washing machine and tumble dryer
Environmentally certified or A-classified stoves and pellet stoves
Other measures that have been fulfilled:
Economy shower head
Fixed washing line or clothes horse for a complete load
In addition, the houses fulfil at least four of the following points:
150 mm floor insulation
Windows with energy class B
Solar system for electricity reduction
Solar air heating ventilation
E-car charging option: either fast charger within a radius of 5 km or type 2 charging station within 500 m
Consideration for biodiversity on the property
Additional requirements for pool, whirlpool and/or hot tub:
Holiday homes with these facilities also fulfil specifications for the heating method, covering of the water surface and insulation.
Note: The energy consumption of such houses is significantly higher and cannot be compared with that of a regular holiday home.
