Beach-close holiday home with sauna and hot tub in Blåvand

It met expectations. Like all the houses I have booked through ESMARK so far. That is also the reason why I booked again with you in March 2026. This time it's off to Henne Strand!

It would be nice to have a small shed or storage option to the side of the house on the back terrace that is not visible from the terrace, so that clutter from the terrace (grill, boule game, etc.) could be stored there, and maybe bicycles could also be stored. It was very cluttered in the corner on the terrace. There were only 2 cake forks, and the small plates were chipped or scratched. A large pot for pasta for 8 people would also be nice.

This house is really centrally located, it's easy to walk to the beach and also quickly to the city. The holiday home has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, one of which has a whirlpool, the kitchen is equipped with everything needed. The spacious dining/living room invites you to relax. You can end the evening on the large terrace with the sunset. In front of the house, there is a smaller terrace that can also be accessed through the kitchen.

I booked the vacation home this year for Easter and the following two weeks. We were there with the entire family, great-grandmother, grandmother, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The house is very generously designed and is well suited for a large family. It is located on a wonderful large property, so you don't immediately see the neighboring houses. There are two bedrooms in the main building that are somewhat more spacious and further bedrooms in an attached part that is a bit smaller and doesn't offer much storage space. Everything is well-maintained, but perhaps a little dated. The beds are very different, some very soft and others very hard. You have to find the right one for you. In the main house, there is a large bathroom with a sauna, which is very small, and a whirlpool, which we only used quickly for bathing the children after a beach day. There is also a small bathroom with the other two bedrooms, which has a washing machine and a dryer. The shower is built into a slanted ceiling, so it's not ideal for tall people. The kitchen is okay, the fridge might be a bit too small for so many people, but everything you need is there. However, especially the tableware is quite worn out. The living space is very generous and also offers space for the children to play. We didn't use the activity room because we didn't want to heat everything. The sofa in the living room is very soft and not suitable for older people. You sink so deeply that it's hard to get up. For the younger ones, this was naturally not a problem. There are two terraces, one in front of the house, adjoining the kitchen, which is wonderful for dining; the other behind the house has a lounge corner where you can enjoy the evening sun. There's also the possibility to barbecue, and otherwise, it feels like everything is gathered there in terms of toys and other leftover items. Maybe it's because the season is just starting. Overall, though, it still gave a very untidy impression. Still, it's a lovely spot with a beautiful view of the garden. There are enough chairs to sit in and also three loungers, though a fourth would be appropriate for a house for eight people. In conclusion, it's a nice and cozy vacation home that could become even better with a few small improvements. Some parts of the dishes urgently need to be replaced, especially the breakfast plates are very worn. The same goes for coffee mugs. A few beer glasses would also be nice. There are only two cake forks, and given how delicious the cakes in Denmark are, this is a shame. The quality of the beds is very different, some are very soft and worn and others are almost too hard. But that's very individual, and you find the right bed for you.
