Through our co-operation with The 0-Mission, we make a significant contribution to the generation of renewable energy in the Danish electricity grid. The amount of energy generated is equivalent to the total energy consumption of the holiday homes offered by Esmark. Renewable electricity plays a central role in our commitment to sustainability.

OUR "WE LOVE" REPORT 2024

Esmark has been offering unforgettable holiday experiences on the west coast of Jutland for over 55 years. Our focus has always been to exceed the expectations of guests and homeowners. We focus on personal service, extensive support and innovative offers that enrich the holiday experience.

Today, we are facing a new challenge: the protection of our unique natural landscapes. Our initiative to reduce our ecological footprint and promote sustainable practices in our holiday homes is a central part of our commitment. This year's CSR report "We Love" sheds light on how we promote not only nature, but also the well-being of our employees and partners through the use of green electricity, waste separation and local environmental protection projects.

Green has right of way!

Climate-friendly travelling with e-mobiles

But it's not just electrical appliances that we supply with green electricity - your electric car can also be charged sustainably with us. Many of our holiday homes have connections for charging electric vehicles.

Our tip: When looking for your perfect holiday home, you can search specifically for Accommodation with charging facilities for electric cars filter.

Many of our employees - especially from the service department - also travel many kilometres by car every day to get from holiday home to holiday home. This would hardly be possible on foot and it is difficult to transport tools and the like on a bike. That is why we are gradually converting our Esmark fleet to vehicles with electric drives. This means that our colleagues are not only travelling quickly, but are also protecting the climate. But we don't rely solely on cars as the only means of transport: many Esmark colleagues have switched to e-bikes, which allow them to reach their destination quickly and relaxed despite the strong North Sea breeze.

We regularly organise guided tours where we collect waste together on the beach - in Blåvand and in Hvide Sande. During this opportunity, you will learn more about the nature and history of the places, can exchange ideas with other guests and get an insight into how some of the collected waste is transformed into great upcycling products by omhu:. Participation in the beach clean-ups is free for our guests and also great fun for children. Registration is not necessary - we welcome every helping hand.

Birds and fish, insects and seals, mussels and crabs: the North Sea is a unique natural landscape with an unrivalled diversity of flora and fauna.

Each of our guests has their own memories of the North Sea: building sandcastles, long walks, flying kites or carefree splashing in the waves. And we want to do everything we can to ensure that today's children can enjoy these experiences with their offspring in the future. During your stay in a holiday home, you can actively contribute to protecting nature and the climate - by using water and electricity carefully. This is not only good for the environment, but also reduces your utility bills. Here we have collected some tips for you on how to make your holiday with us more sustainable:

Achieving more in small steps

As you can see, we have taken a few big steps towards greater sustainability. But there is still a lot to do. And just as important as the special milestones are the many small contributions that add up to make a huge difference.

For several years now, we have been consciously reducing paper products such as flyers and catalogues in order to conserve resources. We also use eco-certified materials in the production of advertising and marketing materials.

Of course, we are also in constant dialogue with our homeowners in order to jointly develop the houses even more ecologically and to give you as a guest a sustainable and wonderful holiday experience.
