Kystvejen is the street in Fanö Bad that lies closest to the sea. From terraces and upper floors you look out across the dunes to the North Sea – with the golf course on the other side.

Because the houses are built into the dunes, they often look smaller from the road than they are: what appears from the front to be a classic wooden cottage frequently has two storeys on the dune side.
