On the North Sea island of Fanö, in the popular resort of Rindby, you'll find Nybydal – a small, quiet cul-de-sac right in the dune landscape. Fanö's 18 km of child-friendly, Blue Flag sandy beach is part of the Wadden Sea National Park and ranks among the finest beaches in Northern Europe. On your beach walk, with a little luck you might even find a piece of amber.

Rindby is a popular spot for kitesurfing and offers shops and cosy restaurants. The island is wonderful to explore by bike – a visit to the main town of Nordby with its harbour, or the idyllic artists' village of Sönderho, is well worth it. After just a 12-minute ferry from Esbjerg, you're on Fanö.
