Østergade in Hvide Sande

In Østergade you'll stay centrally, right in the heart of Hvide Sande, the charming fishing and harbour town on the Holmsland Klit headland between the North Sea and the Ringkøbing Fjord. From here you can comfortably reach the harbour, the sluice, the shops and the beach on foot – if you like, you can leave the car parked all week. The bakery, fish shop and supermarket are practically around the corner, and the broad sandy beach is only a short walk away.

Hvide Sande is the largest fishing harbour in West Jutland and has held on to its authentic atmosphere. At the harbour you can watch the fishermen at work, buy freshly caught fish sometimes straight from the cutter, or watch the popular fish auctions in July and August. The southern beach has repeatedly been voted one of the most beautiful in Denmark – white sand, high dunes and ideal conditions for swimming and all kinds of watersports.

There's plenty more to do, too. Anglers find their spot along the long piers as well as by the fjord, and families visit the Fiskeriets Hus, the swimming pool or the Lyngvig Fyr lighthouse. On top of that, cafés, restaurants and small craft shops await in town.
