Regnspoven in Sönderstrand

Regnspoven is a small street in the Sönderstrand holiday-home area in the south of the Wadden Sea island of Römö. Here you'll stay on spacious natural plots with trees and heath – fitting for the name, as "regnspove" is the Danish word for the curlew, which roams the island's wide meadows.

It's only a few minutes to the famous Sönderstrand. You're even allowed to drive your car onto this broad white sandy beach, with its fine sand stretching as far as the eye can see. When the wind is good, it's an eldorado for beach sailing, kitebuggying and blokart.

Nature lovers and dog owners appreciate the nearby Vråby plantation, with its fenced dog forest and lovely walking trails. The Römö golf course is right next door, and to the east the UNESCO World Heritage Wadden Sea invites you on guided tours and oyster safaris.

Lively Havneby, with its harbour, supermarket, restaurants and the ferry to Sylt, is just about five minutes away by car. The holiday homes on Regnspoven enjoy a quiet, natural setting, many with a whirlpool, sauna and covered terrace.
