On Rønnebærvej you stay close to nature on the eastern side of the Ringköbing Fjord – on spacious natural plots lined with rowan and birch. The shallow, child-friendly bathing beach with its own jetty is only a few minutes away, and Skaven Strand even has its own little harbour. The broad North Sea beaches are around half an hour away by car.

Around Skaven Strand lies one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in West Jutland. Just to the north are the Skjern Meadows, where the Skjern Å flows into the fjord through Denmark's only river delta – a paradise for birds and birdwatchers, with a viewing tower, picnic spots and miles of walking and cycling trails right along the water.

The shallow fjord and its steady wind make this one of the best windsurfing and kitesurfing spots around – ideal for beginners and pros alike. Anglers head for the Skaven Put & Take lake or the Skjern Å, and you can buy fresh fish down at the harbour. A trip to the Danmarks Flymuseum aviation museum or the Stauning Whisky distillery is well worth it too.
