In Sandalen you'll stay peacefully and close to nature in Hemmet Strand, on the southern shore of the Ringkøbing Fjord. The holiday homes sit on tranquil natural plots among trees, where squirrels and hares feel at home too – only a few hundred metres from the fjord. It's just a few minutes' walk to the child-friendly shore with its shallow, fine sand, and a playground is also close by. The cosy village of Hemmet lies between Bork Havn and Skaven Strand.

The Ringkøbing Fjord is a true surfing paradise. Thanks to the sheltered, shallow water, you'll find ideal conditions here for windsurfing, kiting and SUP, and the fjord is also perfect for swimming or a kayak trip. If you like, you can hire equipment at the nearby surf school in Bork Havn.

There's plenty to do on land, too. Nature lovers are drawn to the impressive Skjern Enge river delta with its bird towers and boardwalks, or to the Tipperne bird sanctuary. Around Hemmet, numerous cycling and walking paths invite you on tours straight from your holiday home, and you can reach the North Sea by car in about 20 minutes.
