Skovstien in Fanø Bad

In the north-west of the North Sea island of Fanö, in the time-honoured seaside resort of Fanö Bad, you'll find Skovstien – wonderfully peaceful amid beautiful nature, with views over Fanö's famous golf course and the surrounding dune landscape. It's only about 1 km to the wide, white sandy beach, and the lively main town is quickly reached too.

Fanö's sandy beach is among the finest in Denmark and is part of the Wadden Sea National Park. It's broad and gently sloping, which makes it especially child-friendly. Along its entire length you're even allowed to drive your car onto the beach – ideal for long walks, kite-flying and hunting for amber.

Right next door lies Denmark's oldest golf links – a dream for golf fans. Fanö has plenty more to offer too: a forest playground in the middle of the island, cosy restaurants and the charming villages of Nordby and Sönderho. And the island is wonderful to explore by bike.
