Every year, the world's best sand sculpture artists create impressive works on a new theme. 2025 is all about "The History of Greenland". The festival offers an unforgettable experience for the whole family and attracts over 120,000 visitors every year to admire this unique attraction.

Be inspired by the sculptures and build your own sandcastle with your children in the south-west corner of Festival Platz, where there is a large sandpit. To build the sculptures, you need sand with a high clay content. For a sculpture that is 4 metres high, 60 hours of work and over 25 tonnes of sand are needed. Every Tuesday in the high season there is a flea market in the car park between Lodbergsvej and Houvig Klitvej. Here you have the opportunity to do a good trade, because you can get everything from jewellery, clothes to toys and much more. The concept is simple: private individuals park their cars in the car park and then open the boot to sell their items for a good price. The flea market is always busy and many tourists usually have a newly acquired item under their arm when they leave the car park.
