Stjennel lies in the northern part of Bjerregärd on the narrow Holmsland Klit headland – where only a slim band of dunes separates the roaring North Sea from the calm Ringkøbing Fjord. From your holiday home it's just a few hundred metres through the dunes to the kilometre-long sandy beach.

This is exactly what makes Bjerregärd so special: to the west, the wide North Sea beach invites you to swim, stroll and fly kites, while to the east the shallow Ringkøbing Fjord is a first-class spot for wind- and kitesurfers. Anglers are well served too, both along the coast and at the put-and-take lakes.

Many of Bjerregärd's street names recall ships that once ran aground on this rugged west coast – a piece of maritime history right on your doorstep. In the village you'll find a year-round grocer with a bakery and a fish shop, while lively Hvide Sande, with its harbour and shops, is just a short drive away.
