On the North Sea island of Fanö, in the popular resort of Rindby, you'll find Toppen – a quiet cul-de-sac that lives up to its name ("the top"): many of the houses sit slightly elevated on a dune, with lovely views across the dune landscape. Here you can take long walks, lie in the sun and, with a little luck, even spot seals. Right behind the dunes, the Fanö dune plantation with its forest playground is perfect for an outing.

Fanö is ideal for active families: explore the island by bike, go kayaking in the Wadden Sea or try padel and go-karting. Every June, the big kite festival turns the beach into a colourful spectacle. A trip to the main town of Nordby or the idyllic village of Sönderho is well worth it too.
