Tranevænget lies in the quiet holiday home area of Bork Havn. The plots are planted around the edges, some of them fenced, and generously sized – plenty of room to play without losing sight of the children.

What characterises the street are the smaller, classic summerhouses: well-kept wooden floors, glazing-bar windows, a wood-burning stove and terraces running around several sides of the house, so you can choose sun, shade or shelter as you like. The harbour, with its fishing boats and sailing yachts, is within walking distance. Just before it the Hjertesti begins, a marked circular trail running along the shore of Ringkøbing Fjord. The shallow bathing beach is child-friendly, while the water alongside is one of Denmark's finest windsurfing spots. On rainy days there's the open-air museum Bork Vikingehavn and the indoor play centre Bork Legeland.
