Vestergade in Hvide Sande

In Vestergade you'll stay centrally, right in the heart of Hvide Sande, the cosy little harbour town on the Holmsland Klit between the North Sea and the Ringkøbing Fjord. The town houses here are within walking distance of shops, restaurants and the harbour – and it's only around 200 to 300 metres to the magnificent sandy beach. Many of the houses have fenced gardens where children can play while you enjoy your holiday on the terrace.

Hvide Sande is the largest fishing harbour in West Jutland. Here you can buy fresh fish from the local fishmonger or right at the harbour and take in the lively bustle around the boats. The lock between the sea and the fjord is a popular angling spot, and at the small fjord harbours Tyskerhavn and Mamrelund the little boats land their fresh catch every day.

The broad beach is one of Denmark's finest – ideal for long walks and stunning sunsets. Also worth seeing are the Fiskeriets Hus, the Jyllandsakvariet aquarium and the Lyngvig Fyr lighthouse.
