Bjerges Leje in Sønderho

Bjerges Leje lies on the edge of a large, magnificent nature area, very close to the old and atmospheric fishing village of Sønderho at the southern tip of the island of Fanø. From many of the houses you can look out over the large, white dunes that stretch all the way to the beach at Sønderho. The sea is only one to two kilometres away.

The nature around Bjerges Leje is impressive. Right on your doorstep lies the Wadden Sea, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On long walks through the dunes and along the beach you might even spot seals – and you can often find amber on the shore.

There's plenty to experience in Sønderho: stroll through the historic thatched captain's houses, visit the Fanø Art Museum, or stop by one of the cosy cafés. A trip to Fanø Bad, with mini-golf and small craft shops, is also well worth it. You reach Fanø itself after a short ferry crossing from Esbjerg.

The holiday homes on Bjerges Leje are cosily and comfortably furnished. Many feature a wood-burning stove, a sauna or a hot tub, as well as covered terraces and a shelter in the garden – perfect for a relaxing island holiday.
