Rent a holiday home in Bjerregard
Bjerregård North is one of the most popular holiday home areas on the west coast of Denmark. The area stretches from Nymindegab in the south to Skodbjerge in the north and is therefore part of the 40 km long headland between Ringkøbing fjord and the North Sea, which is called Holmsland Klit.

Here you get a fantastic start to your holiday in the holiday home when you drive through Nymindegab and enjoy the breathtaking view over untouched dunes, heath and fjord on the hill as you leave the village.

Esmark holiday home rental has its origins in Bjerregard
The Esmark holiday home agency office has always been located in Bjerregard. If you are coming from the south, you can clearly recognise the Esmark office. It is located on the east side of the main road Sønder Klitvej, approx. 4 km north of Nymindegab. This is where the story of Esmark began, when the then owner Mathilda Esmarch 1965 began renting out the very first holiday home (her own).
In the beginning, small houses without electricity were added, named after Matilda's children, and after that the holiday homes grew quickly, so that Esmark Holiday Home Rentals now has more than 5405 beautiful holiday homes from Vedersø Klit in the north all the way to Blåvand in the south. The holiday home at Jeppes Vej 8 is where it all began in 1965. It is still rented out and has had returning holiday guests for over 40 years.

In the southern part of Bjerregard, you can enjoy the beautiful and unspoilt nature with heath and dunes, which is highly appreciated by animal and nature lovers. If you're lucky, you might spot a deer, a lizard or a fox on a walk through the heath (if not directly from the holiday home terrace).
To the east of Bjerregard lies the Tipperne bird sanctuary, where you can marvel at bird species from all over the world. For bird lovers, Tipperne is highly recommended, where you can watch the birds breeding in a protected area in the southern part of the Ringkøbing fjord. So why not rent a holiday home in Bjerregard?

Bjerregard's exciting story
Many street names found in Bjerregard are the names of sunken or stranded ships found on the coast of Bjerregard. The name Beautyvej, for example, dates back to 1887, when the fishing boat "Beauty" ran aground south of Bjerregard on 26 May. On Sønder Klitvej at the entrance to house number 296-300 there is still a pole from the Beauty.
You can easily recognise the pile from the road and it has been there for over 126 years. The former owner of Hof Gl. Bjerregård used the remains of stranded ships to build a fence for his sheep, which ran right through the dunes from the North Sea to the fjord. Incidentally, this is the origin of the place name 'Hegnet' (fence in Danish).
