Welcome to your sanctuary on Rømø – a beautiful thatched house surrounded by trees, lush lawns, and the island’s vast landscape. Large window sections open up to nature, while the vaulted ceilings (open to the rafters) create a bright and spacious atmosphere.
Within the 143 m² of living space, you will find an open-plan kitchen and living area with a wood-burning stove – perfect for cosy evenings and cooking together. Four bedrooms with high-quality beds, along with extra sleeping spaces on the mezzanine (hems), provide room for up to 10 people. Tiled floors throughout both the living areas and bedrooms provide a neat and practical finish. Please note that dogs are not permitted, making the house particularly suitable for allergy sufferers.
Relaxation Inside and Out
Two modern bathrooms, including a large bathroom with underfloor heating, a shower cubicle, and an indoor whirlpool (spa), invite you to relax. The sauna offers a perfect opportunity to completely switch off. Large windows let in the light and provide views of the forest and nature – offering a wonderful sense of peace and privacy.
The well-equipped kitchen, as well as a washing machine, tumble dryer, and internet access, make your stay easy and convenient – even for longer visits.

Outdoors, excellent garden furniture awaits, along with plenty of space for play under the open sky and a peaceful atmosphere filled with birdsong and fresh air – entirely free from traffic noise. It is the perfect place to escape the pace of everyday life.
The bathing beach at Sønderstrand is only about 1.4 km from the house, and the popular Lakolk beach, with its small shopping street, can be reached in just a few minutes by car. Car-friendly beaches, wide dune landscapes, and long sandy shores characterise the area – ideal for summer days, collecting shells, or horse riding along the beach and through the woods. and, of course, a Danish soft-ice in the sun is a must.
The experience begins the moment you drive across the causeway to the island. In the evenings, Rømø often offers an impressive starry sky with the moon illuminating the landscape.
