Krogen in Houvig

In Krogen you'll stay wonderfully close to the beach in Houvig, a quiet, nature-rich holiday area on the Holmsland Klit between the North Sea and the Ringkøbing Fjord. Many of the holiday homes here stand in the first or second row of dunes – only around 50 to 350 metres from the broad sandy beach. From the terrace and through the large windows you enjoy the wide view across the dunes, and when you wake up in the morning you can hear the roar of the waves.

Houvig is a paradise for everyone who loves peace and nature. The hilly dune landscape invites you on long walks, and on the beach and in the dunes you'll find the remains of the so-called Atlantic Wall from the Second World War – an impressive historical sight.

Despite the quiet setting, you're quickly in the thick of things: the lively resort of Søndervig, with its shops and activities, is only about five minutes away by car. The cosy town of Ringkøbing, with restaurants, shops and adventure golf, is also soon reached.
