Skolegade in Thorsminde

Skolegade lies in the middle of Thorsminde, the small fishing village on the narrow spit between the North Sea and Nissum Fjord. The houses here face the fjord side – many with a view of the lock, the harbour entrance and the boats heading out in the morning. From the upper floor the view sometimes stretches all the way to the North Sea.

This isn't classic dune country but a working harbour settlement: solid stone and brick houses, some over several levels, with balconies and activity rooms downstairs – a clear hint of what the place is known for.

Angling, surfing on the fjord and long walks by the sea are right outside the door. At the harbour opposite you can buy fresh and smoked fish.
