Holiday Homes on Skræddermarken

Skræddermarken in Sønderho

Skræddermarken lies a little off the beaten track at the southern tip of the island of Fanø, very close to the charming village of Sønderho. The holiday homes here stand on spacious natural plots in the open dune landscape, partly covered with heather. The kilometre-long, white sandy beach and the North Sea are just a few hundred metres away – a short walk through the dunes is all it takes.

The nature around Skræddermarken is impressive. Right on your doorstep lies the Wadden Sea, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On the sandbanks off the coast you can watch seals, and on a mudflat walk or seal safari you'll experience the rugged beauty of the landscape up close.

There's plenty to discover in Sønderho: the idyllic village is famous for its thatched captain's houses, which are listed as heritage monuments. Here you can sample local specialities and visit cosy restaurants. You reach Fanø after a short ferry crossing from Esbjerg, and the island, with its wide-open paths, invites you on long bike rides.

The holiday homes on Skræddermarken are cosily furnished and surrounded by sheltered, partly covered terraces. Many offer comforts such as a sauna, hot tub or a wood-burning stove – perfect for a relaxing island holiday.
