Holiday homes on Ved Bavnen
Ved Bavnen in Sönderho
Ved Bavnen lies at the southern end of Fanö, in the middle of a rolling dune landscape above Sönderho. Whichever house you choose, the water is never far – a short walk through the dunes and you're standing on the wide sandy beach of the island's southern tip. It's hard to find a quieter, more natural spot on the island.
From the higher plots you get a sweeping view across the dune landscape towards Æ Kåver, the old sea mark and landmark of the island. Just to the south begins Hønen, the wild southern point with salt meadows and tidal flats – one of the finest places in the Wadden Sea National Park to watch migratory birds and seals.
The village of Sönderho is only minutes away. It charms with thatched, listed houses, the old mill, Fanö Art Museum and cosy places to eat. Shops are close by as well.
The holiday homes on Ved Bavnen are mostly classic wooden houses on large natural plots – often with a wood-burning stove, terrace and panoramic views over the dunes. Ideal if you're looking for peace, nature and genuine Fanö atmosphere.
