Golf holidays in Denmark - holiday homes for golf holidays

Our holiday homes on the Danish North Sea are an ideal starting point for a golf holiday in Denmark. In our holiday region along the Danish west coast from Blåvand in the south up to the Husby holiday home area, there are numerous golf courses for both experienced golfers and beginners.

Golf holiday on the North Sea

If you are a passionate golfer and would like to play golf on your North Sea holiday, you've come to the right place. Esmark offers you a large selection of Holiday homes in Denmark, which are very close to the best golf courses in the Danish North Sea

Book one Holiday home in Henne Strand, Lodbjerg Hede or in Ho at Blåvand, where you are close to one of Denmark's most beautiful golf courses.

If you prefer a holiday in a holiday home in one of our other areas, one of the numerous golf clubs is often just a short drive away from your holiday address.

The golf course right nearby

With a golf holiday on the west coast of Jutland, you have a large selection of golf courses of varying difficulty within easy reach. All golf courses along the coast are open golf courses, guests are welcome and can play for a green fee. As a rule, there is no "simple dress code" in the form of polo with collar and shorts. On the par 3 courses, which are also known as pay & play courses, no dress code is required for all persons.

Golf is a sport for everyone in Denmark. Whether you are an experienced golfer or have never held a golf club before, you can be sure that you are in good hands on the many golf courses on the west coast of Jutland. More and more golfers find their golf clubs here every year.

A holiday in Denmark is ideal for golfers

There are so many golf courses waiting for you along the Danish west coast that you have several options to choose from. We want to make your search easier. In the southern part of our holiday areas you will find Henne Golf Club, a good place if you are looking for a little more challenge. The golf course also has a beautiful location in the middle of West Jutland's nature with a great view.

When golfing in the north, you can't avoid the Holmsland Klit Golf Club, one of the most popular golf courses in this country. The open landscape provides a decent westerly wind, an additional challenge that can tease even the most experienced golfers.

A golf holiday is also fun for beginners

Don't despair if you are a beginner at golf. There are many golf courses on the west coast of Jutland that are also fun for beginners. The Holmsland Klit Golf Club, for example, has par 3 golf courses where you can try your hand at golf at your leisure before moving from the putting green to the larger courses.

The Outrup golf course in our Holiday homes in Houstrup is also a good place that many golf beginners choose. Families with children like to come here when part of the family has less fun on the green and prefers other activities. Not far from the golf course is the Soccer World activity park.

The best golf holiday in Denmark

If you look at a map, you will see that all the golf courses are well spread out in West Jutland. But all the courses have one thing in common: it goes without saying that they are all close to the North Sea and the beautiful West Jutland countryside.

The sea makes the air on the coast milder in winter than inland, which is why most courses with summer greens are open all year round.

Playing golf in winter

You can also play on most golf courses on the west coast in winter, provided the courses are not covered in snow. Golfers appreciate Denmark's coastal climate, which is usually mild even in winter and has rarely seen much snowfall in recent years. With a holiday in a holiday home on the west coast, you are very likely to be able to play golf in Denmark all year round.

However, bear in mind that the days are short in winter and most courses are not floodlit. If it does get a little chilly while playing golf in winter, the holiday home with sauna and whirlpool awaits you afterwards. As you can see, a golf holiday in Denmark is a truly relaxing experience.

Golf holidays Denmark - Save money and play on weekdays

The price of golf in Denmark depends heavily on the days you want to play. It will be most expensive for you if you play at the weekend. So you can save money on a golf holiday in a holiday home if you play during the week. On some courses, you can save between 30 and 180 kroner per round if you play on weekdays rather than weekends. Prices for a round of golf on an 18-hole course start at around 250 kroner.

Most golf courses offer the option of booking and hiring a golf trolley so that you can get around comfortably and on the move. However, the number of golf carts is usually limited. It is therefore advisable to book a golf trolley in advance if you need one.

Expect blind shots, firm greens and a North Sea breeze that changes the course from one day to the next. Take the short ferry crossing from Esbjerg to Fanö and make a day of it in the old seaside resort of Fanö Bad.

Holstebro Golf Club (Råsted)

Every golf lover should play Holstebro Golfklub in Rästed, just west of Holstebro. This is home to Skovbanen, the forest course that was voted Denmark's best course in 2021 and 2023 and is rated the top Danish course in the Rolex World's Top 1000 Golf Courses guide. The pine lined fairways and heather give it a classic heathland feel, and the trees form natural walls between the holes, so the only interruption to your concentration might be a deer crossing the fairway. Rästed is also home to the 9-hole Parkbanen and Engbanen, one of Denmark's most beautiful Pay & Play courses. The whole facility is surrounded by Rästed Plantage, perfect for a walk for anyone in the family who isn't playing.
